WE MADE IT!!!

We have officially reached our goal! We've made it to 34 weeks.  This is the point that Tanner and I were wanting to meet, as well as the Dr's.  Woohoo we did it!! The Doctor's say now that I'm 34 weeks, what happens, happens. So in other words, If I go into labor they won't stop it. Crazy thought.  I had my appointment yesterday and I am 90% effaced, and dilated to a 1! crazy!!

This past week has been rough! Monday night I came down with a HIDEOUS sickness. The same one that I had 2 weeks ago. I was rudely awakened in the middle of the night throwing up. As well as diarrhea, rotten egg burps, and horrible abdominal cramping. I just have to say....this sickness has got to be THE worst one you could EVER have. you have everything all at once and you just feel like death. literally. And it's even worse being pregnant and having contractions on top of it all! haha.  Monday night I slept for only 3 hours when it hit.  And what are the chances of me getting it twice in a week. Last time I thought it was just food poisoning, but I guess this bug has been going around for the past month and a lot of women have gone into seasons with it. So I'm just one of the lucky ones that gets it twice in one month! haha. I would not wish this sickness upon anyone.

Tuesday I was lucky enough to have Tanner around to be my nurse. He makes for a great nurse.  Tanner put baby girl's room somewhat put together, and I washed all of her cute little clothes :) All day tuesday these abdominal cramps were just THE WORST!! They got so bad to the point where I couldn't breathe. I couldn't tell if they were just stomach cramps, contractions, or a mix of both. So I called Dr. Codd at 1 am because I couldn't breathe and I was really concerned.  Turns out they were both.  Tanner gave me a really sweet blessing, rubbed my feet and my belly, and then we watched netflix until 5 in the morning...it was miserable. Tanner was so sweet to stay up with me though. The cramps were SO bad that I attempted taking a bath at 5:30 in the morning. I ended up falling asleep in the bathtub for 30 minutes, and then I was rudely awakened with a throw up episode.

The weirdest thing happened to me while I was soaking in the tub....My chest all of the sudden started to get really itchy. And I mean REALLY itchy.  It was like an itch that wouldn't go away x 100. I got out of the shower and got my brush and was pushing so hard on my skin because the itch was so bad. It wasn't strong enough. So I got in the shower thinking maybe that would help...and then it spread to my 2 big toes. They got so itchy, and I just scratched and scratched until one of them started to bleed. The itch was so bad that I was literally clenching my teeth on the verge of screaming. I can't even explain how miserable it was.  Then, the itch started to spread to the palms of my hands.  At this point I was freaking out. I got out of the tub, and was using the carpet to scratch my feet, and my brush to scratch my hands, and my towel to scratch my chest. NOTHING WAS HELPING!!!! I just couldn't believe it and was so confused. I hurried and got dressed, luckily my apt was in 30 minutes, so I rushed to seasons, told her what was going on, and they got me back immediately. At this point my chest, feet, and hands were swollen purple with hives all over them. The dr. said that I have a condition called PUPPS, that a lot of women get around 34-35 weeks, and that I might have a liver condition along with that. They took my blood and i'm still waiting to hear back the results.  PUPPS is just a severe case of itching. They don't know what causes it, but it sticks around until a week or so after delivery. So that's just peachy, right as my sickness is starting to clear up, I get something else and something might be wrong with my liver. awesome.

I was told to go get hydrocortisone cream, and zyrtec and to take them right away. have you ever been driving when you get an itch on your foot?! it's annoying right? hahahaha yeah imagine that on both feet AND Your hands and it is uncontrollable! You have to experience it to truly get it, but man. I got to Albertsons and parked, and just screamed. I screamed so loud, and didn't know what to do. It was the most pain/discomfort I had ever felt in my whole life. I was rubbing my feet against the floor mats, and scratched so hard that i ripped my big toenail off. haha! I had no idea I ripped a toenail off until I looked at my feet and there was blood all over my foot. haha.  I called Tanner because I didn't know what else to do. I just bawled, and screamed, and screamed some more. I barely made it home without getting pulled over trying to scratch my feet and hands while driving.  I got home and my feet were swollen huge and purple. Tanner rubbed the cream on my hands and feet, and I took the Zyrtec. I literally felt like a crazy women trying to get the itch to go away!! nothing was working! I've never been so frustrated in all my life.  After about 30 minutes, it went away. it was the most magical moment of my life.

Anyway, sorry about my rant but I had to blog about it so I can read back on this in a year and laugh my head off. haha.

Tuesday night I didn't sleep again, the sickness kept me up all night. finally the cramping went away about midday, so I took advantage of that and slept for like 5 hours.  I went to bed at 10, and slept until 9 am this morning. It was the best nights sleep of my life. Today I'm still feeling yucky, but I can actually function somewhat.

I finally realized that I should probably pack a hospital bag since we just don't know what will happen day after day. So I packed 2 bags. one for little miss, and one for Tanner and I. I also got her carseat ready to go, and her room is looking good and more put together!

We are so excited to meet her. Keep growing little one!!
