Thanksgiving this year was so much fun!!! We woke up thanksgiving morning and looked like this....
We went over to my parents house looking like bums and enjoyed a delicious breakfast made by my mother. It consisted of: Pancakes, buttermilk syrup, fruit, and bacon. mmm mmm good. Tanner and I continued to look homely all day, but we were too lazy to go home and shower. My hubby and my bro played halo for a couple hours, we played settlers, played a little basketball, watched football, and just relaxed. When it was time for the thanksgiving dinner, my mom doesn't have an oven because both of them broke, so we used 3 of our neighbors oven. The turkey was in the Carey's oven, the stuffing was in the Lovell's oven, and the rols were in Claudia's oven. It was a riot. The turkey didn't cook as expected, so we ended up eating at 6 p.m. BUT it was delicious. We went around the table 3 times and said one thing we were grateful for. We stayed and played some more games after that, and then tanner and I went home and relaxed by ourselves.
The next morning, we drove to his parents house in Ashton. All of his siblings and their kids were there, so that was really fun. The activities at the Stevens household consisted of: christmas tree hunting in the middle of nowhere, chopping down a 20 foot tree, playing ticket to ride, playing kinect, (we got it on black friday and it is fun!!!!!)watching Christmas Vacation, (oh that movie was hilarious) and just playing with all the kids!! His oldest sister Jessica is pregnant and due in February so we put together a little shower for her. Guests didn't show up until the shower was supposed to get over. It was interesting. We made homemade ice cream woth liquid nitrogen with delicious brownies, ate like pigs, and decorated the christmas tree. We also made gingerbread houses, and pretty sure tanner and I won!!!! hahahahahaha we rocked. Anyway, we had a lot of fun this year, hope Christmas is even BETTER!!!!

OHIO BUCKEYES!
Goodbye Creampuff...
Bottom line...I miss our Passat. We bought it in September, and sold it November 10. We found a heck of a deal in Logan on a Mazda 3 and couldn't pass it up. So we bought it. We had 2 cars for about a week, and it was HEAVEN!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tanner works construction in Ashton every day, and I'm at school all day. I've found it very difficult to go grocery shopping, do laundry, and other random things with no car. So the 4 days I had "creampuff," it was quite enjoyable. I drove to school, I could drive to the store instead of walk, I didn't have to haul my laundry around town anymore, it was nice! hahaha. Those 4 days with creampuff were memorable ones. She kept me warm, and she got me places I needed to be in 5 minutes instead of 30. I became attached to this car of ours, and I didn't want her to go! well, we decided that we are a young poor couple with no money, and we probably couldn't afford to have 2 cars. We posted creampuff on Craigslist, the BYUI bulletin, and in ONE day, we had 5 people call on it. After 4 days, our creampuff was sold. A young man fell in love with it, and I was sad. Oh well, our new car (cheryl) will hopefully keep me warm like creampuff did.

COOKING
So before I got married, I never did much cooking; but whenever I would, I really enjoyed it. Since my mom made dinner for us every night, I never really thought about making dinner because it was already made for me! Terrible attitude I know...but that's what I thought. Since being married for 3 weeks,I have had over 21 opportunities to make dinner for my husband. I have gotten online and found recipes, made up my own, attempted at making some of my mothers masterpieces, along with my mother in laws. I have had many intersting experiences. One sunday I burned rolls because Tanner and I fell asleep and I didn't hear the timer go off. Another time I burned an entire cake that was a surprise for Tanner. After several catastrophies, we figured out that the temperature of our oven is completely off. (so it wasn't ALL my fault....haha)
One day Tanner asked if I would make some sort of bacon and chicken concoction for dinner. I had no idea what to make so I found a recipe online of these little chicken/bacon wrap things. I had NO idea how they would turn out......but they were quite a hit! We loved them, and we even wanted more when they were done!
So my mother in law has this fantastic cookie recipe, so I attempted to make them last night. I was excited to make them for Tanner, because he loves them. I called her like 3 times just to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. The first batch was very interesting....it turned out like this:
The second batch was a little better....
And the third batch....yeah I'm not really sure. They have HOLES in them!!!! I guess none of us are as good as our mothers.
*Overall, I enjoy cooking. But I kind of struggle. That is all part of the fun...is laughing with your husband when you burn his meals. :)

The Honeymoon!
Do you know why a honeymoon is called a honeymoon?
Because it is when you get to moon your honey!!
I told tanner that and we both died laughing :)
Our first night of being married, we drove to Idaho Falls and stayed the night in "MOROCCO!!!" it was so cool. We had a blast.
The next morning we drove to PARK CITY!! I'd never been there, so I was excited. We sang the whole way, laughed, talked, just had a really good time enjoying each others company. We went shoppping all day, sat in the hot tub, talked, went to a movie, went out to dinner, took funny pictures, cooked steak at 2 a.m, and just had such a good time! It was good to just be alone, and realize that we are married for eternity. Bittersweet.
We are kind of in love.

Our wedding day!
October 8, 2011 is our day. Today is the day that Tanner and Maddie Stevens started their journey together. A day that I will never forget.
Well, our wedding day was seriously the most perfect day I could ever ask for. I woke up at 7:00 and took a shower. I went down to a friends house at 7:30 and she did my hair just perfect! It was a really foggy morning so I was kind of worried that you wouldn't even be able to see the temple in our pictures. I was praying though! At 10:00, my wonderful husband to be came and got me and we headed to the temple. We sat in the lobby together just holding hands and thinking about our special day. They came and told us that they were ready for us, so we both went our seperate ways. We met together again and we were both dressed in white. I was on the verge of tears...I just couldn't hold them in any longer. I was SO HAPPY!! Our sealing was truly amazing and bittersweet, a moment i will never forget. As we walked out of the temple, IT WAS SUNNY!!! The sun was shining beautifully and the temperature was like perfect. We were so happy. That was just one more thing that made our day even more special.
We had a luncheon at 1-2:30 and it was so great. My mother-in-law did a great job at the decorations and food, and it was really special. Tanners brothers and my sisters gave a little tribute on something they've learned from us, or why they love us, or just a fun memory. It made us cry. It was sweet.
Our reception was at 6-8 p.m. and boy was it LONG!!! I swear it dragged on and on. The decorations were gorgeous. It is exactly what I dreamt my dream wedding would be like. Our wedding day was the most perfect day of our entire lives. One that we will never forget, that's for sure.

*How we came to be!*
Tanner and I have quite the story of how we met and decided to be married. We met in December of 2010 at BYU-Idaho. One day, my brother Tanner came home from a wallyball class at 9 in the morning, and said to me, "There's this cool kid named Tanner in my wallyball class. You should get to know him." I just kind of blew that off and didn't pay much attention to that comment. A little bit later my brother says to me, "We should play wallyball tonight. Here I'll give you that Tanner kids number, you should invite him to come play." I thought it would be weird texting a boy I didn't even know... but....I consented and did it anyway. That night, Tanner showed up. I thought he was a babe. I found myself staring at him all night, but trying not to make it obvious that I was checking him out. He was so athletic and man, he had the hops!
Wallyball was a blast....I thought tanner was a hottie. End of story. After that, Tanner and I would text every once in a while. No biggie. He would come over to my apartment and I was not impressed...not gonna lie. He and his roommates would do and say things that I didn't necessarily care for. I decided not to give up on him though because he was really cute, really athletic, and I thought I would give him a chance. Well starting in February, we text every single day...nonstop. And when we weren't texting, I felt like something was missing. Really weird. I told Tanner I didn't like that he acted completely different around me then he did his roommates. He took my comment into consideration, and things went uphill from there!
Our first date was in March. We went to G's Dairy and enjoyed some icecream together. I felt so comfortable around him...it was fun. I noticed how well he treated me. He was treating me with respect. That was a big one for me. That's what kept our friendship alive. I had brought this "color code" book that tells you what color you are and who you're compatible with and stuff. Tanner and I took this test and read through this book to find out that we are both...YELLOWS!!! Yellow's motivation is fun. They are the party animals. And this is the best part...."Yellows hardly ever last in long-term relationships or marriage." HAHAHAHAHA that was a great way to end the date.
For the next couple months while we were dating, Tanner always planned the most amazing dates. Whether they be, snowmobiling and kissing me on the 2nd date, mud bogging in homeless clothes, eating a candlelight dinner together in a camper, going on tandem bikerides, eating dinner on my roof, making cakes together, watching y favorite movie outside while looking at the stars, buying me yellow roses with red tips( signifying friendship turning into romance hahaha), or buying me 12 red roses. I could go on and on...but I won't. Let's just say that he is quite the romantic dude, and he LOVED to surprise me. ( he still does)
Tanner told me in like April that he loved me. AHHH. that scared me....I was NOT ready for that. So I made him wait....and wait...and wait some more! I didn't end up telling him I loved him until June. I'm a slow mover.....and he is definitely a FAST one!!! We started talking Marriage in July. That was scary. But it felt so natural at the same time. Things escalated, I fell more and more in love with this boy every day.....and he proposed on July 21, 2011, a day before my birthday. It was a complete surprise, and the cutest proposal EVER, and he got me the most amazing ring on this planet. We set the date for October 8, 2011 in the Rexburg, Idaho temple....and WE CAN'T WAIT!!! On October 8th....we will officially start our journey with each other. FOREVER. Tanner, I love you.
This is the picture we took right after he proposed...
And this is my beautiful ring!
