So, for as long as I can remember, I've always wanted a moped. I would tell my parents, and hint at them for birthdays and stuff, but they would always say they were too expensive. So...it just kinda went to the back of my mind. Well, recently I was just looking on craigslist and I was thinking how fun a moped would be, and how much gas money it would save us. Usually during the days I just need to car to go to the store, and work, and do errands. So I thought, well I might as well get a moped and save money and have fun while I'm at it!
So I found one on craigslist and sent it to Tanner just jokingly, not thinking that it would happen. WRONGO! We test drove it this past sunday, and it was just the cutest little thing. We got it for super cheap too! It has a bit of wear and tear on it, but we're gonna fix it up a little bit. Let me just tell you.... I LOVE IT!!! It is seriously the cutest thing, and it's perfect for me. It can only get up to 35 MPH, but heck in town that's all I need right? hahahaha. The past 2 days that we've had it, we've both had our share of riding it. Seeing Tanner ride it is the funniest thing I have EVER seen. Today this lady was laughing at him from inside her car...it was great I couldn't stop laughing! It's such a hoot seeing people just stare. Anyway, such a great birthday present, and I love it more than I thought I would! haha. Watch out Rexburg, dangerous motorcycle driver here I come!
What did I get for my 21st birthday? A MOPED :) yeah...that's right.
What's the best thing about all this? It costs a whopping $4 to fill up :)
Thanks babe...best birthday present ever.

A visit from 4 cuties
So Jax and Meg's house they built is finally finished! They moved in last week! So exciting. Megan, Courtney, Azely, and Griffin came to Rexburg last week because they were homeless. haha. I loved it though, I got to hang out with 4 of my favorite people, too bad Jax wasn't here to make it 5. Anyway, Courtney and Azely absolutely adored Bugsy. It was so cute, and they just wanted to play with her ALL THE TIME :) I love it. Griffin is huge, but so cute. And meg, she's the best sister in law ever. I'm glad I was able to spend time with them! Can't wait to go visit them in their NEW HOUSE!! Love you guys! Thanks for visiting :)
Love them.
Love them.
Two new births :)
I am now an aunt of 7! So exciting, I love nieces and nephews :) So funny story, Ashley was due July 12, and so she and Ethan went on a day trip June 22, to an island called Martha's vineyard. They were at a resraurant and her water broke. So they had to put their car on a ferry until it got home to Boston.
She checked in at a hospital with doctors she didn't know- she pretty much entered the unknown...haha. Apparently she had 2 water sacs, so they had to break another water? Interesting. But she was in labor for quite a while, but wasn't in much pain. BEAU HYDE FELIX was welcomed to this world on Sunday June 23, at 1:13 pm. He's a little guy, only 6 pounds, but he's adorable and I wish I could just go and squeeze him! hopefully in September :)
Here's some pics of the cutie pie:
AHHH SO cute, I can't get over it :)
CONGRATS ASH and E!
The second birth I wish to write about was the birth of 6 adorable kitties. Tanner's parents got a cat, and one day she came home and her belly was huge and saggy. So...we all assumed she was pregnant and she'd have her kitties any day. Well soon enough, on Friday June 20, Stacey noticed some wet spots on her recliner, and the car was in labor. Soon after, she popped. I have never seen a live birth of any kind. Humans, animals, nada. But I survived watching the live birth of 6 kittens. It was very interesting...the poor car was making noises I'd never heard before!
We locked her in the bathroom and tried to make a soft bed for her to give birth on, but she just hopped right off and went to the hard floor. She was like screaming, it was scary! haha tanner and I had to jump on the sink counter because it scared the heck out of us! But man the kitties are the cutest little things. She has 2 orange ones, 2 black ones, a gray striped one, and a black one with white spots. They are cute. Tanner and I might just keep one...we'll see. Anyway, it was very fascinating to watch her give birth...haha. Here's some pics:
She is quite large and in charge....

Meet Our Cute Little Bugsy
So...Tanner surprised me with a 5 week old bunny on June 3. I had no idea. I had been begging him for a puppy since the day we got married....so I got a bunny instead? haha. At first I was very skeptical. We live in a tiny tiny apartment, bunnies usually live outside, I had no room for a bunny in my house, they stink really bad, and I knew that I would be the one to take care of it.
Here's the story:
So on June 3 Tanners grandparents picked me up to take me to Ashton, because tanner was out there building a table. Anyway, I get in the car and grandma says, "Maddie, come look in our car!" And she was laughing hysterically. I was so confused, but I was told I would be getting a "surprise" that day. So I get in the car and there's this puppy cage...I WAS SO EXCITED! My heart started pounding...I honestly thought it was a little puppy :) But uh, nope. It was no puppy. I looked inside it, and there was a puff ball, just staring at me. It looked miserable, and I was very confused. A bunny? Why a bunny? hahahahaha. I laughed the whole way home thinking, "Is this mine? Am I going to have to take care of this thing? What on earth is my husband thinking?!" Lots of questions went through my mind. So, after I stared at its big bunny eyes begging for me to take it out, I took it out. And it peed on me. And pooped on me. And its paws were covered in pee. It was so gross! I held that thing for 40 minutes until we got home, and I brought it to tanner and said, "So...what's this?" And he laughed, and here we began our journey of being pet owners.
He had everything in the trunk of our car, and I realized that this was serious, this thing was coming home with us. I gave the poor thing a bath because I was so disgusted that she was covered in crap. She did not like that, and scratched and bit me like I didn't think 5 week old bunnies could do. It was awful. Tanner's whole family was laughing at me for the next 3 hours, wondering how on earth I was going to survive with this animal..haha. It was quite the day. We named her bugsy because..well no reason, we just thought it was cute like bugs bunny. I was called, "Bugsy's mother for 4 hours." hahaha.
Tanner and I have decided we really like to be spontaneous. We like to just drop what we're doing, and go do something fun. We like to have a pet rabbit because it's unique and who does that...haha. We like to buy cars, and then sell them just for the fun of it. We like to plan a weekend, and then last minute change our plans to something completely different. We like being different, and it makes life so fun! I am so grateful for Tanner, for this very reason. I've always been a planner, I like to have my days and weeks planned out. But when Tanner and I got married, he's taught me to just live in the moment instead of being so uptight about everything. It's helped me relax, and it is so much more fun than worrying about how spotless my house is that day.
Anyway, the past 11 days with Bugsy have been pure joy, laughter, and adventure. We love just getting her out of her cage and watching her hop around our house. She loves to be held, and is just the cutest little thing. She's not so cute when she leaves little presents around the house, but that's what a vacuum is for :) She's just so funny. I can't believe that we have this little tiny 5 week old bunny rabbit that just chews and poops everywhere. What a great way to prepare for motherhood.
When I had a miscarriage in March, it was a huge wake up call for me. I had a hard time accepting the fact that the little life that was growing inside me was just gone. It's life was no longer there, and it wasn't coming back. Bugsy has kind of been my comfort, and having her has taught me that children and animals are very similar. They poop, they pee, they like to be cuddled, they play around the house chewing anything and everything, and they take work. Children are hard work, and I feel like everything that is going on in my life right now is preparing me for children, and that they are hard work. It sounds so silly...but it is so true. I am grateful for bugsy..haha.
I'm also very grateful for the many blessings I have in my life right now. I have everything I need, and more. The Atonement is so real, and without it I don't know where I'd be!
