This past weekend, my family and I went to Atlanta, Georgia to give support to the Bestor family for the passing of my uncle, John. He was such a great man, and an inspiration to us all. He was diagnosed with tongue cancer about a year ago, they cut it out, and it grew back again. Well, it continued to spread throughout his body, into his legs, his back, and then into his brain. Before he passed he weight 115 pounds. I will always remember him for his goofiness. He always had hilarious faces, and such a sense of humor. Since he worked for the FBI, the funeral ceremony was amazing. The FBI took such good care of Chris and escorted her in his FBI car, and made sure she was comfortable. I was very impressed with Chris, and how strong she was through all of this. She was still her happy, bubbly self, but you could tell she was suffering at the same time. The funeral was amazing, and there were so man family members there to support. I got to be with all of my brothers and sisters except Jaxon, and it was so good to be with them. John was such an amazing man, husband, father, and uncle, and I am just so glad that he is no longer in pain, and he is looking down upon all of us smiling, letting us know he is okay. I am so grateful for the power of families, and how families can be together
forever. That is so powerful to me, and I'm grateful I am able to be with my family for eternity. I can't imagine life without them. I'm also grateful for the atonement because without the atonement, none of us would be able to get through this. But since we have the power of knowing that we will be able to get through this, we are all comforted.
Dad, Mom, Tanner, Aubrey, and I went to Temple Square on Sunday and just walked around and had a good time with each other. I love the temple, they are all so pretty, and they bring such peace when you look at them and go inside them. I'm grateful I was sealed to my best friend, Tanner Stevens for eternity. Ahh I cannot wait to see what life brings us :) Anyway, here's some pictures of the weekend.
What a great picure of a great man:
Tanner, Aubrey, Mom, Dad, and me went to the temple and walked around. I love them.
I love knowing that Families Can Be Together Forever. See you soon, John.
It was a wonderful weekend and many thoughts, emotions and feelings went through my mind. Thanks you for being there Maddie. It made me realize we all need to stop a little more often and to really spend quality T.I.M.E. together!
